Curriculum Philosophy

"And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me" Matthew 18:5

We here at Parkway Baptist Church know and understand the love that God has for children. Our primary objective is to communicate and imitate this same love to the children who attend Parkway Baptist Preschool. The preschool is a ministry of the church and provides a loving, Christian atmosphere for children ages 17 months to 5 years old. Each child, teacher and parent is accepted as a person of worth and value.

Under the guidance of qualified teachers, our preschool provides an educational program that emphasizes growth in all areas - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

We realize children pass through various stages of growth and development. Each child's development is uniquely his or her own and will be handled as such. Our goal is to help all children develop positive feelings about their abilities and development.

Play is the language of children and the foundation of quality preschools. At Parkway Baptist Preschool we provide opportunities for children to learn through playtime with a balance of self-discovery and teacher-directed activities.

Our intent is that the time your child spends at preschool be happy and relaxed. Each class will follow a flexible, daily schedule so that the child will develop a sense of security. We desire a learning environment at Parkway Baptist Preschool that is stimulating, rich, varied, warm and safe. Our daily program consists of a variety of activities that teach your child to love and respect God, himself or herself and others.
